CASPER, Wyo — The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) will provide a grant to send one or more Career and Technical Education (CTE) professionals to a state or national conference, or a training or technical assistance program related to innovation in CTE education. A release from the WDE encourages educators focused on developing career pathways, integration of academics and CTE, federal accountability and reporting requirements for Perkins, or participation in an industry-recognized credential for the educator are encouraged to apply.
The grant also may be used to bring a speaker or trainer to a school or college to facilitate a CTE content-specific training that is multi-day and/or recurring and is open to all Wyoming CTE educators.
Applications will be reviewed and scored after September 15, 2020 by a grant review committee at the WDE, and amounts awarded will be equal to, or less than, $2,500. Each grantee must apply separately. This application is open for submission from July 1, 2020 to September 15, 2020.

Grant recipients will be responsible for providing a workshop at the 2021 Wyoming Association for Career and Technical Education (WACTE) conference, or may develop an alternate dissemination activity for other CTE educators. Recipients also will be responsible for a comprehensive report that details professional development outcomes that is open for public review.
