With Premier League football getting closer to a June return, the transfer rumour mill is starting to pick up.
When the next window will open is still unclear, but it should be an interesting summer on the transfer front.
Here are the latest rumours, gossip and transfer news.
Raiola in talks for Pogba exit
The agent of Manchester united midfielder Paul Pogba has started negotiating a potential transfer to bring the World Cup winner back to Juventus, Le 10 Sport reports.
Pogba’s future has continued to attract plenty of speculation and it’s now reported that Mino Raiola is orchestrating a transfer for his prized client, who has attracted interest from Real Madrid in the past.
However, Raiola has a frosty relationship with Real president Florentino Perez and that puts Juventus in the driving seat to bring the France international back to Turin, where he shone before his transfer in 2016.
Aguero’s exit denies transfer claims
Sergio Aguero’s agent has spoken to deny speculation that the forward could leave Manchester City to return to his native Argentina.
The former Atletico Madrid forward has just one year remaining on his deal with Pep Guardiola’s side and recent rumours have suggested that both Inter Milan and Real Madrid have made approaches for a deal this summer.
However, Aguero’s agent, Hernan Reguera, has denied this is the case but has admitted the future of his client beyond next summer remains uncertain.
“Sergio has a contract with Manchester City until 2021. There is no possibility that he will go away sooner,” he told FCInterNews.
Arsenal revive Tagliafico interest
Arsenal have revived their interest in Ajax full-back Nicolas Tagliafico after first expressing their interest prior to last summer’s transfer window, The Sun reports.
The Argentine defender vowed to stay with the Eredivisie side for one more season last year, with Arsenal eventually bringing Kieran Tierney to the Emirates Stadium from Scottish champions Celtic.
However, he has endured an injury-ravaged first season in the Premier League and it’s stated that Mikel Arteta is looking to bring another left-back to bolster his options.
While Bukayo Saka has excelled in the first-team this season, the future of the teenager lies further forward and the Gunners still have to tie the highly-rated youngster down to a new deal.
Hertha target Liverpool keeper
Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are expressing an interest in forgotten Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius, Goal reports.
The 26-year-old is set for a transfer in the next transfer window after returning early from a two-year loan stint with Besiktas, where he was involved in a long-running dispute with the Turkish side.
Karius is contracted at Anfield until 2022 but is not a part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans and is currently in Germany, not returning to Melwood with the rest of the squad when the protocols for a return to training were put in place.
Hertha have a strong relationship with the Reds, having taken Marko Grujic on loan for the past two seasons, and the German side are reportedly looking to take advantage of that.
