iPhone 12 Pro may feature improved FaceID, 120Hz display – Latest News

iPhone 12 Pro, the alleged top-end iPhone of the 2020 lineup is reportedly going to offer a high refresh rate 120Hz ProMotion display, a 3x rear camera zoom and an improved Face ID.

This was claimed by Max Weinbach who disclosed this to EveryThingApple Pro.

As per the report, there will be two screen options for the iPhone 12 Pro model — 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch. Both are expected to offer the 120Hz refresh rate as seen on the Pad Pro. The report claims that the display will be able to shift dynamically in order to save the battery as per requirement.

To support all this power consumption, the iPhone 12 Pro is also expected to house a large battery too of 4400mAh

Also, the report also claims that Apple is going to improve Face ID as it may come with a wider angle of view. Also, improved low-light photography, as well as image stabilisation, is also expected.

Last month, a report by Bloomberg suggested that Apple is gearing up to redesign its flagship iPhone models “as part of a major fall refresh.”

This year’s iPhones may come with reduced size of the notch. “Apple is investigating removing the cutout at the top of the display for the selfie camera and Face ID sensors in future designs, and it’s likely to reduce that notch in size with this year’s models,” said the report.

The report cites people who are familiar with Apple’s plans and claims that these redesigned aspects will be borrowed from the recently launched iPad Pro. The successors to the iPhone 11 Pro models are said to offer flat stainless steel edges in place of the curved rounded corners. They are also said to offer flat displays in place of sloping edges of the latest generation iPhone models.
