President Muhammadu Buhari has commended Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State for revamping the educational sector in the state, with focus on the girl-child and Qur’anic education (Almajiri).
Buhari said this in a congratulatory message to Masari on his 70th birthday signed by Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Thursday.
Buhari said Masari has exhibited a remarkable and credible record of simplicity and humility in public service.
He also hailed the governor for boosting health care services by initiating an upgrade and expansion of all general hospitals and other centres.
The president added that Masari deserves commendation, especially for his loyalty to the governing party and support for elected officials.
Buhari prayed that the almighty God would grant him a longer life, good health and wisdom to keep serving his people and Nigeria.
Masari served as a legislator and a Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2003-2007.
